when words die

Dear 571 *** ****,

I wish you knew the kind of warmth you placed in my heart tonight.
"Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday."

The other me is still here.
Tugging, impatiently at the sleeves of a child not yet mature, begging, imploring. When the heart slips off the loose folds of my sweater and cracks onto the concrete below, I will not fear. Because I once loved, and my intentions, there were none; pure as it was, I find it a fortunate accident that the cardiovascular muscle thu-thumps, beating to a tune I never heard, because I was so deaf. So blind. So immune, for the moment.

And that's alright with me.

"it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." whoever said that: just to let you know, it's bullshit.

you don't think suyeon agrees with rebecca, do you anony? i feel like she would much rather have not felt love and felt the pain of having lost it than to not have felt anything to begin with.

excuse me? doesnt she say that she finds it fortunate that her heart was beating? that she won't fear because she has once loved? read it in the text, anonymouses. where does she say she would rather not feel anything?

agreed. i don't see where you guys are getting such an idea? the whole reason why i love this post is because she describes in such beautiful details of how she puts herself through the pain of a heartbreak.. but in the end it's worth it.

i disagree, i think she's saying that she's gotten immune to the pain so therefore it doesnt hurt anymore, but she would rather have gotten rid of her 'imploring' self than have suffered through that kind of a heartbreak

maybe she's not saying anything, and you all are analyzing wayyy to heavily.

Anonymous said...

we are all analyzing too much about nothing. i merely made a simple comment about someone else' post, not suyeon's.

it doesnt matter, cuz the fact is that people seem to think that she meant to say something different. maybe we should just ask suyeon... lol
